Can Kökten is Vice President Engineering & Construction at Clenergy Global Projects GmbH, where he is responsible for the technical development, grid connection strategy and implementation of utility-scale solar PV and battery storage projects in Germany.
He has more than 13 years of experience in the energy sector, including grid connection studies, plant certification and the coordination of approval processes with transmission and distribution system operators. His project experience covers more than 1 GWp. He has also worked on 380 kV grid connection concepts with wind project developers and is involved in a cable-pooling project in Germany.
His work includes PV-BESS hybrid concepts, storage integration, flexible grid connection solutions and the consideration of grid-related requirements in project valuation and the financial analysis of BESS projects.
