Jaime de la Calle is an industrial engineer and project manager with a broad experience in EPC project development for conventional power generation and renewable energy projects, both in utility scale and decentralised system.
In his role as Engineering manager, he has been responsible for project execution planning, technical management, technical support for contract and claim management and construction
supervision, with regular presence on site.
As a senior energy consultant, Jaime has been technical advisor and project manager for renewable energy projects, from initial assessment through technical and economic feasibility, due diligence, construction supervision and acceptance, including the establishment of sound international tendering procedures.
As project development manager, Jaime has been responsible for the development of PV projects until the achievement of provisional acceptance, covering the management and development of contracts and financial agreements, including claim management, coordination of all the project functional areas and administration of the project due diligence processes.
As asset manager for PV plants, Jaime has participated in the fulfilment of the obligations and responsibilities of the owner under all the transaction documents, ensuring the compliance in
all claim processes.
As business development manager for PV plants in Germany, Jaime has been responsible for identifying and evaluating strategic partners for possible development, originating, and managing the grid connection permitting process, coordinating the technical studies required to file the different authorizations to
build and operate solar plants and managing the full process of PLAs until financial close.
As team leader for energy infrastructure, Jaime is currently involved in the expansion of battery storage installations (BESS) and grid infrastructure across Germany, having lead a team of engineers and advisors in the transactions of large portfolios and Owner´s Engineering of BESS plants.
