Jorge is the Chief Executive Officer of VPI, which he joined in 2022. Previously Jorge was at Centrica where he was the Managing Director of Centrica Business Solutions, focusing on developing a decentralised, flexible, and low-carbon energy system. Jorge has also worked at McKinsey & Company, Procter & Gamble, and PDVSA, Venezuela’s national oil company. He is Chair of the Independent Generators Group, an informal grouping of 10 independent electricity producers which collectively have over 35 GW of electricity assets in Great Britain. Previously, he was a Board Director of the Faraday Institute, an independent institute focused on the research and development of new electrical storage technologies. Born in Venezuela, Jorge holds a MSc and PhD in Chemical Engineering and was a Research Fellow at the University of Oxford.
