As Head of Markets & Regulatory Affairs at Kyon Energy, Marie Sophie Braun is responsible for the interface between strategic portfolio development, the identification of new market opportunities and key grid-related issues.
Kyon Energy is one of Germany’s leading developers of large-scale battery storage systems. The aim of the project design is to further bridge the gap between market and grid requirements through the targeted use of flexibility, thereby supporting an efficient, resilient and renewable electricity market.
Her background combines economic expertise with a deep understanding of the dynamics of a changing energy system – particularly with regard to the integration and optimal use of flexibility.
Marie-Sophie Braun has been part of the team at Kyon Energy since 2023 and holds an M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering (Mechanical Engineering: Energy Technology) from RWTH Aachen University.
